Business is Business

Risky Business is the movie that catapulted Tom Cruise into stardom. As if that wasn’t enough, it’s also one of the 80’s best teen movies. Risky Business can be thought of a little like a grown up version of Home Alone. Only with less burglars and a lot more hookers. The movie is best remembered for its famous scene of Tom Cruise dancing in his underwear to “Old Time Rock n Roll.” Boy was I surprised when I found out the rest of the story. Tom Cruise plays Joel, a teen with the usual dream of getting into a fancy college after high school. Everything changes when he meets a hooker named Lana who gets him into a lot of trouble. I won’t say what happens, but I could see it happening in real life. Business is business after all. So if you’ve ever wondered how Tom Cruise became such a big star, then look no further than Risky Business. Put on your “Ray Bans,” turn on Bob Seger, and enjoy.
